ConQuest 2016 was organised between July and August 2016.
On 23rd July 2016, we held the South Regional Round in partnership with School of Law, Christ University.
Over 50 teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds from colleges in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. Teams from premiere law schools like National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Tamil Nadu National Law School, School of Law Christ University, and National University of Advanced Legal Studies competed with teams from other prominent Universities like Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M), St Joseph’s College, RV College of Engineering, Azim Premji University and BITS-Hyderabad.

45 teams took part in the West Regional Rounds on 30th July 2016 at Symbiosis Law School, Pune. Teams from across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh participated. Prominent law schools of the region including Gandhinagar National Law University, National Law Institute University, Maharasthra National Law University, Symbiosis Law School, ILS Law College and Government Law College Mumbai alongside other institutions such as TISS- Tuljapur, College of Engineering, Pune, the Armed Forces Medical College and Savitribai Phule Pune University took part.
First Place: Karan Kamath and Amey Pilay; SLS Pune
Second Place: Jayant Umesh Karn and Amit Kale; VM Salgaoncar College of Law
Third Place: Vivek Patel and Jigar Parmar; SVKM Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai
We organised the East Regional Rounds at School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar on 06 August 2016.
Around 50 student teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds. Teams traveled from colleges in Orissa, Kolkata, Assam and other states. Teams from leading law schools NUJS, KIIT Law School, and NLU, Odisha competed with teams from other prominent non law Universities like College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneshwar.

Second Place: Shubham and Subhrajyoti Jena; NLU Odisha
Third Place: Sharzab Al Haque and Alankar Devta; KIIT University
We conducted the North Regional Round in collaboration with Indian Law Institute, New Delhi at International Society for International Law, Delhi on 20th August 2016.
Around 45 teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds from colleges in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The competition saw participation from leading law schools including National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi), Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, Campus Law Centre, Army Law Institute Mohali, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala; and teams from other prominent institutes like St Stephen’s College, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Department of Buddhist Studies, Hindu College.
First Place: Apratim Chandra Singh and Akul Gurtu; St. Stephen’s College, DU
Second Place: Karthik Manickam and Mohit Srivastava; JNU
Third Place: Kanchan and Saumya; NLU Delhi
Top two teams from each regional round made it to the National Finals:
- South Zone: two teams from National Law School of India University, Bangalore
- West Zone: Symbiosis Law School, Pune and VM Salgaoncar College of Law, Goa;
- East Zone: College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar and National Law University, Cuttack;
- North Zone: Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
On 20th August 2016, eight teams battled it out at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi at International Society for International Law, Delhi.
