A Constitution is the founding legal instrument of the state. It sets out certain values which regulate the governance of a country. Additionally, it defines the relationships between various branches of government, and between the state and Indian citizens.
As citizens of India, it is important to understand the Constitution so that we are aware of the obligations that the government has towards us, and our responsibilities towards our country.
To fully understand the Constitution, we must answer some questions: Why do we have a Constitution? What are the founding values of the Constitution and where can we find them? Who implements the Constitution, and how do they interact with each other?
Using the resources available on the CADIndia website, can you answer all the questions in the slides?
