The north regional round of ConQuest 2017 was held in the campus of our regional partner National Law University, Delhi. We saw over whelming participation of 82 teams from Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. JNU, Hindu College, IIM Lucknow, NIT Delhi, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar College, Deshbandhu College,Lady Irwin College, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, IP University, Sharda University, Banasthali university, Ashoka University, Sri Venkateswara College, Ramjas College, Ram Lal Anand College, Indraprastha College For Women, Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi Technological University, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Kirori Mal Collegeparticipated in the quiz.
School teams from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi Public School (RK Puram and Dwarka) and Cambridge School took part. With law schools NLU-D, CLC, Soa National Institute of Law, Army institute of Law (Mohali), I.P.E.M Law Academy (Ghaziabad), Amity Law School (Noida and Delhi), Law School, Banaras Hindu University, University of School of Law and Legal Studies, GGSIPU, Lloyd Law College, Institute Of Law Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra, Faculty Of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Symbiosis Law School, Noida rounding out the participants list.
The eight teams that made it through the preliminary round, to battle it out in the regional finals, were: the mixed team from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, the all girls high school team from DPS Dwarka, teams from Ramjas College, CLC, Hindu College, JNU, Sri Venkateswara College and a school team from Sardar Patel Vidyala (had the second highest score in the preliminary round and won the best high school team prize).
After closely contested rounds of quizzing the following teams finished in the top three positions: Ashish Kr. Singh and Abhishek Paliwal from Ramjas College, Jayant Verma and Arnav Sharma from CLCand, Arpan Banerjee and Akshay Seal from Hindu College. The top two teams from the North Regional Round will be at the National Finals on 1st September, 2017 at the School of Law, Christ University, Bengaluru.
