The objective of the CAD India website, set up in 2016, is to create a digital archive of Indian constitutional history and increase engagement with Indian constitutional origins and traditions. We believe that analysing secondary materials that dissect the philosophical and historical foundations of the Indian Constitution is essential for a comprehensive understanding of the primary resources archived on our website.
In this vein, we have decided to launch a new series, ‘Writings on the Indian Constitution’. The purpose of this series to encourage deeper engagement with the primary resources available on CADIndia by identifying and analysing secondary materials on the Indian Constitution.
Every month, we will select a piece of writing on the Indian Constitution and write an article which summarizes its main themes and critically engages with its arguments. The article will refer to the relevant primary materials on this website so readers can explore these simultaneously.
