The CAD India website was conceptualized by Sudhir Krishnaswamy and Badrinarayanan Seetharaman in mid-2015. Sudhir Krishnaswamy anchored the execution of the project, and together with Aparna Ravi, was a senior editor. Vineeth Krishna was the Lead Associate Editor. Ishana Tripathi was an Associate Editor for five months.

Students of the School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore were the primary data taggers throughout the length of the project: Kruthika R, Rashmi Ramesh, Atihsa Sisodiya and Sumeet Sirohi. Data taggers from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore worked on the project in the initial months: Garima Singh, Varun Yadav and Yashna Mehta.

Apurba Kundu (CLPR), Thejaswi Melarkode (National Law University, Delhi), Sandeep Suresh (CLPR) and Khyatee Tewari (University of East Anglia) worked as Data Taggers on the project at various points.

Vineeth Krishna continued as the Lead Associate Editor in Phase II. Apoorva Sharma and Bhumika Modh joined as Associate Editors for the project.

Harsha Srinivas (School of Law, Christ University), Tanay Gandhi (NUJS), Kruthika R (School of Law, Christ University) and Winnu Das (NUJS) worked as Data Taggers on the project at various points.
