U.P. Scheduled Castes Federation

With Independence weeks away, Kurnool K.P. addresses the Viceroy on behalf of eleven crore Scheduled Castes people who, he argues, remain severely oppressed by caste Hindus and capitalists with no meaningful avenue for redress. His petition is as much a political intervention as a grievance: its central purpose is to defend Ambedkar against newspaper accusations by Congress Harijan leaders that he was insincere toward Indian freedom. Kurnool K.P. dismisses these charges as baseless and fabricated at the instigation of Congress leaders seeking to undermine Ambedkar’s standing among his own people. He affirms that Scheduled Castes stand solidly behind Ambedkar, whose tireless advocacy had already secured them legislative representation across provincial assemblies. He describes the All India Scheduled Castes Federation, founded by Ambedkar, as an organisation transcending caste, colour, and creed, with the explicit aim of securing full political, economic, and social rights for Scheduled Castes proportionate to their numbers and needs. He closes with a criticism of Congress Harijan leaders, characterising them as sycophants of Hindus and blind followers of Congress who have never genuinely worked for the upliftment of the Scheduled Castes.

Sir,
On behalf of the Scheduled castes people I beg to lay the few lines before all the leaders for valued consideration.
That the scheduled castes people whose population is 11 crores in India, are living in different provinces are subjugated to very hardship hardhit as they are by the present days acute troubles and badly crushed by the caste Hindus and Capitalists.
They are prepetualy ignored and have no avenue for redress of their colossal and grinding circumstances, and grievances.
I am really grieved to read the reckless and only mischivious statements in the newspapers issued by a few selfish and self interested congress harijan leaders accusing a great pious personality of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedker is insincere of the freedom of India. The statement is absolutely baseless and fictitious and has been issued on the saligation of some congress leaders, congress Harigen leaders, whose only business is to exploit illiterate scheduled castes and to discredit Dr. B.R. Ambedker in the eyes of his fellow bretheren.
The Scheduled castes are solidly behind him and have complete faith is his leadership, Dr. Ambedker’s ceaseless fight for securing our political rights has benefited to all the Scheduled castes in the legislative Assemblies of different provinces. Our whole hearted support and co-operation and his endeavour under taking for the elemation of suffering of our unfortunate communities.
Any man who has got a little brain has cared to read his books in caste will bear out that he has very strongly condemed caste and has got not the least sympathy for those who observes castes distinctions. All India scheduled castes federation of which he is the founder is an organisation of all the scheduled castes irrespective of castes colour and creed. The main object of the all India Scheduled castes federation is the attainment by the Scheduled castes of a status as a distinct and separate element, in the national life of India and to obtain them their political, economic, and social rights to which they are entitled by reason of their needs, their numbers and their importance.
All real facts are that the Congress leaders and Congress Harijan leaders themselves are not at all interested in their uplift and never take any interest in the Scheduled castes movement. They have always preferred to keep themselves aloof from the Scheduled Castes. Most of the Congress Harijan are blind follower of the Congress and paid servants of the castes Hindus and Congress. There at present not a single worker from amongs, who has worked and is working for the amolioration of the Scheduled Castes, the present hue and cry of the self styled Congress Harijans leaders is result of their selfish motive and personal ambition.
