Coming to the staff of the Secretariat of the Constituent Assembly I must first mention and thank the Secretary, Mr. H. V. R. Iyengar, who organised the Secretariat as an efficient working body. Although latterly when the work began to proceed with more or less clock-work regularity, it was possible for us to relieve him of part of his duties to take up other work, but he has never lost touch with our Secretariat or with the work of the Constituent Assembly.
