The total areas of the above States as shown in Table I is 23,457 sq. miles and it has a predominately tribal population. At present, according to the recommendation of the Tribal Areas Advisory Sub-Committee only Koraput and Ganjam Agency have been costituted Scheduled Areas. It is unfortunate that such a district of Sambhalpur which has a predominately tribal population and which was partially excluded area only the other day has been excluded from the list of Schedule Areas in the province.
