CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY
A 389-member body responsible for drafting India’s Constitution.

COMMITTEES
Committees were created by the Constituent Assembly comprising smaller groups of members delegated with various responsibilities.

An unofficial forum consisting of Assembly members belonging to the Indian National Congress that met on the side-lines of the Assembly.

13. Tribal question.

Safety against tribal raids and kidnappings must be guaranteed by proper handling and settlement of tribal questions. Durand line should not be weakened in any case, it should be well defended.

I propose that the same safe-guards may be acquired for the Sikhs in all other provinces specially Delhi, U.P., C.P., Bombay Sind and Bengal.

Your responsibility for securing these rights for us is all the more greater because no Frontier Sikh is there to represent us. You represent all the Sikhs of India.
