Sir, I wish to move an amendment to sub-clause (1) of Clause 4. It is in the following terms: “For sub-clause (1) of Clause 4 the following be substituted: ‘The, President shall not be a member of Parliament or of any, Legislature and if such a member be elected President, he shall be deemed to have vacated his seat in Parliament or in the Legislature concerned.”
