“Clause 5.–Appropriate provision should be made for election to fill casual vacancy is the detailed procedure for all elections, whether casual or not, being left to be regulated by Act of the Federal Parliament: Provided that– (a) an election to fill a casual vacancy shall be held as soon as possible after, and in no case later than six months from, the date of occurrence of the vacancy; and (b) the person elected as President at an election to fill a casual vacancy shall be entitled to hold office for the full term of five years.”
