Mr. President, it is painful to me that my friend Mr. Balkrishna Sharma should have made such criticisms against the tradition of Indian civilisation, which were never to be expected of him. In ancient days our State authorities considered the sages outside their jurisdiction. If Panditji Balkrishnaji has looked through our ancient books, he would know that the religious places of the Hindus were outside the jurisdiction of the State.
