The question is: “That in amendment No. 2 of List I (Seventh Week), for the proviso to the proposed article 282, the following be substituted: ‘Provided that Parliament may by law specify the public services in the States with regard to which acts of appropriate Legislature may regulate the recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to them.'” The amendment was negatived.
