A 389-member body responsible for drafting India’s Constitution.

COMMITTEES

An unofficial forum consisting of Assembly members belonging to the Indian National Congress that met on the side-lines of the Assembly.

The question is: “That in the form of oath or affirmation in article 69, for the words ‘the duty upon Which I am about to enter’ the words ‘the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter’ be substituted.” The amendment was negatived.
