If and when neccessary, temporary and Additional Judges may be appointed to High Courts by the President on the advice of the Chief Justice of India in consultation with the Head of the Unit and the Chief Justice of the High Court concerned. Temporary Judges may be appointed from amongst retired Judges of High Courts, if possible. The appointment of additional Judges shall require the confirmation by the two-thirds majority of the Federal Legislature.
