Whereas we believe that woman should have the same rights as man to hold, acquire, inherit and dispose of property; and whereas some of these rights are denied to women or if given are given on an unequal basis; the All-India Women’s Conference demand that:
(a) the sex disqualification by which Hindu women in general have hitherto been precluded from inheriting in various parts of India be removed;
(b) woman shall inherit in her absolute right and the Hindu Woman’s limited estate be abolished; and
(c) there shall be no discrimination made between sons and daughters, i.e., both shall have equal shares in the property of their father or mother.
