CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY
A 389-member body responsible for drafting India’s Constitution.

An unofficial forum consisting of Assembly members belonging to the Indian National Congress that met on the side-lines of the Assembly.

We are also definitely of the opinion that the present Coorg Legislature does not truly represent the popular opinion of the country on this issue as they were elected to the Council long before the Cabinet Missions plan was announced and ipso facto, the person elected by that body to represent Coorg in the Constituent Assembly does not represent the popular opinion of the country on that issue.
