A 389-member body responsible for drafting India’s Constitution.

The legislative power of the Federation shall be vested in, the Parliament of the Federation which shall consist of the President and two Houses to be known respectively as the Council of States and the House of the People (in this Constitution referred to as “the Federal Parliament” or “the Parliament”).
